FAQs

RJ Painting and Home Renovations

  • How long does it take for the walls to dry?

Paint typically dries to the touch in two to four hours. However, full curing can take up to a week, depending on factors such as humidity, temperature, and ventilation. We advise waiting until the paint has fully cured before hanging decorations or placing items on the walls.
  • Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, our company is fully licensed and insured for your peace of mind.
  • What type of paint is best for interior walls?

The best paint type depends on the room's purpose. Matte or flat finishes are suitable for low-traffic areas like bedrooms and hide imperfections well. Eggshell or satin finishes work well in living rooms and hallways, offering durability and easy cleaning. Semi-gloss or gloss finishes are ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, and trim due to their moisture resistance and washability.
  • How do I prepare a room for painting?

To prepare a room for painting, remove all wall decorations and move furniture away from the walls. Our team will cover all remaining items before beginning the painting process. We're also happy to assist with moving furniture if needed.
